1940s Nokona G30 Rudy York Tribute/Reissue glove (ca. 1991)
The original Nokona G30 Rudy York Model glove from the
1940s was so popular that Nokona made a reissue/tribute version, sold exclusively through The Glove Collector,
Joe Phillips. This one is in beautiful condition, having only been used for taking the ballpark,
wearing/pounding while watching a game, and maybe a few rounds of vintage catch. Has a GREAT feel to it, like
it's almost broken in, but shows hardly any wear at all. You can take THIS one to the ballpark, and bee the
talk of the crowd!
This one also carries an autograph of Phil
Plantier, who had a nice 7-year career in the outfield (RedSox, Padres and
a couple other teams), who is now hitting coach for the San Diego Padres. The sig was on the glove when I
got it, and although I have not COA for it, it's a pretty clear,
match to other autographs. (unlikely that someone wou;d forge a Plantier autograph). Great little reissue
glove!
